Day view
Allocator includes a standalone day view designed for workers. For users with the Field Staff role this is the only view.
What workers see
Section titled “What workers see”With the day view, a worker can review their own past, current, and future workdays and their tasks. Each day’s task listing contains the schedule matching the calendar view and the recommended order of execution. In addition to the listing, the worker sees the tasks numbered on a map, as well as a summary of the day’s tasks and amount of driving.
If the current day’s schedule is changed, the changes can easily be brought into view by pressing the refresh button.

Section titled “Choosing which vehicle to drive”If a Field Staff user’s calendar visibility is not restricted, the day view opens with a vehicle picker: the driver selects the vehicle they are driving that day, and the view shows that vehicle’s tasks in their scheduled order. When visibility is restricted to one calendar — see Signing in & user roles — there is nothing to pick.

Section titled “Marking a task as done”In the day view, the worker can mark a task as done in two different ways: either by swiping the task to the right, or by marking it done in the task’s details view. Completed tasks can no longer be edited — see Task states.

Section titled “Navigating to a task”The navigation action opens the Google Maps application with the current location set as the starting point and the destination set to the target’s address.

Section titled “Next visits”For a recurring task, the task card can also show the location’s next visits — when the route is due there again — so the driver knows the cadence without leaving the day view.
