TasksUpdated 4 June 2026

Task types

Several different types of tasks can be managed in Allocator. Pick the type based on whether the work repeats and whether its time must stay fixed.

Tasks can be created and managed as recurring, in which case the desired recurrence is defined for them.

A recurring task can also be used for, for example, a weekly warehouse visit, if you do not want to define its exact occurrence time. Compare with the appointment (other task) type, which stays locked to its time.

One-off tasks can be created through the user interface, imported as a CSV file, or fetched from other systems through integrations.

An appointment reserves a regular slot in the schedule — for example for virtual team meetings. These tasks are locked to the worker, and Allocator does not move them from the selected time on its own. They are added directly in the worker’s day — see Adding an appointment.
